What is the best simple content management system?

September 28, 2009 - 7:31 pm 3 Comments

The company I work for is currently using Contribute. I hate it. I’m looking for a full fledged CMS system that is easy to use and not too bulky (ie Joomla) Any help is much appreciated.

Go to opensourcecms.com where you can try out all the available CMSes out there.

I tried PostNuke and Joomla. I am evaluating some of the others. It really bears some thinking. If you want to integrate with other tools like forums etc, you have to make sure the cms you plan to use can do that. Also, pay attention to those that have adequate numbers of developers and templates out there.

DragonnFly is nice, but doesn’t have many templates.

What can you say about image quality regarding imaging systems?

September 28, 2009 - 7:30 pm 1 Comment

I see all terms being used nowadays:

SNR signal to noise
CNR contrast to noise
MTF modulation transfer function
DQE – ?
general transfer function

and all as function of spatial resolution. Can someone explain this all to me? For example what type of system makes a good x-ray? Someone once said that the MTF ideally should be 1 for all frequencies – is this correct? Is a system that "carries all information" really the one that provides the best image?

no one is perect exsept god

Does anyone know an easy way to convert a PDF to word document without scewing the image at all?

September 28, 2009 - 7:30 pm 2 Comments

We transferred the pdf to a word document but the tables are all out of whack. I just want to know if there is a simple way to do it, without having to download any software or anything, that will not scew the image/document

thanks

Yes. open the file with a good PDF file reader such as Adobe, or Power Desk, etc. save the file as a "rich textured format" under a different name. Word can read that too.

What do I put in box 24E on the CMS 1500 form?

September 26, 2009 - 7:33 pm 1 Comment

My insurance textbook says to leave it blank, but the software program counts that block wrong if I leave it blank. What am I supposed to put there or do I leave it blank?

Item 24E of the CMS-1500 claim form is a one (1) character field used to point or relate the diagnosis indicated in item 21 to the specific procedure billed. CMS provides specific instructions for completion of this item.

Enter the diagnosis code reference number (1, or 2, or 3, or 4) from item 21 that relates the procedures performed to the primary diagnosis. Enter only one reference number per line item. When multiple services are performed, enter the primary reference number for each service.

If a situation arises where two or more diagnoses are required for a procedure code (e.g., pap smears), you must reference only one of the diagnoses in item 21.
