Clearing Browser (IE7) Cache not working?

Hi,

I am using an open source content management system and I am having a problem that is unique to Internet Explorer (v7). Specifically, when I update the content of my site and save my changes, although the website accurately reflects my changes, when I go back to view the content item in the administrator portion of my site, the changes are not reflected. Only when I go to Tools -> Internet Options –> Browsing -> Delete Temporary Internet Files will the latest changes appear. The browser seems to be caching old values every time I make a change to the content of my site. My settings are such that the browser is configured to look for a new version of the site on each visit to the webpage. I have confirmed that this is not an issue with Firefox, just Internet Explorer. Any ideas?
I have tried the "Delete All" option under browsing in IE7 and this works ONLY for the current session. When I make changes to my content again and save the changes, I reload the page and it is cached with the old value. So, I need a more viable solution than this.

My company is looking forward to outsource "Learning Management Systems" to its clients from any of these companies. How do I get to know the best among these, so that I could advice my company to send Rfps’ to a list of top 15 companies?
My company is looking forward to host e-learning online and mediate learning/training programs for employees for any kind of learning or training. For example, our client wants a LMS/LCMS for a fresher comes to the company, he/she could visit the portal and do e-learn about the company. I wanted do know which all company will provide LMS or LCMS to our company so that we outsource and integrate the process with the required tools and provide to our clients. So I would like to know who are the best 15 vendors LMS/LCMS.

We were/are looking to change our current one, all i can say is avoid Outstart like the plague!!!

There are some good "cheap" solutions that get the job done if you are serving either a small group or simple content.

LCMS’s (Learning Content Management Systems) allow you to analyze your courses and compare how students are doing as well as track their answers. (so you can compare if everyone is missing a question because it was worded poorly).

We are hoping to get Ziiva from Prosperity below as it had a lot of what we are looking for, we will probably pick them up next year after the Outstart finally expires. (Did I mention you should avoid them like the plague?).

You’d be better of buidling one for yourself. Mostly you don’t even need all the functions such system has and you can build it more to your own needs. Just try making a simple cms which manages your news, page content and newsletter or something and then make it so you can easyily add new modules, u probably will need to build the core of such system

Wanting to make a website that offers a monthly subscription capability, but need a content management system that allows for this. Having a hard time finding what’s out there that allows for this, but is also open soruce. Paying $15,000 for a CMS is not in my budget.

I need to develop a content management system website for a not-for-profit agency. What would be the best system to use (open source)? I prefer PHP. How much should I charge for building a site?

It needs to have a WYSIWYG element, as end users will have little or no design experience.

AT the moment looking at Adobe Contribute, but as I will be needing to purchase 6 plus licences at £200 a pop, was looking for a cheaper, possibly open source alternative.

It goes without saying that it needs to be cross browser compatible and be totally stable

Why not use one of the many free solutions? I would suggest Drupal, but joomla is pretty good too.

Basic Content management system?

For this college project that I’m doing I need to develop a repository which will allow the insertion of multi-format documents (pdf, word etc…) and then a simple interface which will allow searching on this database of documents based on keywords and the ability to download and open these documents. Just wondering where to start on this. Whats the best technology to use. Was thinking maybe php as it can be a web interface to this repository or perhaps java using lucene. Is their any good open source libraries etc.. that could help me. Any comments suggestions greatly appreciated, Regards,

I don’t know a whole lot about creating a CMS. But one that my company uses is called Raconteur. (http://www.raconteur.info/cms-for-static-content/home/)

It is a VERY basic CMS. I’ve supplied the link in hopes that you can find some more information about what platform it’s built on. Don’t hesitate to send an email to them and ask some questions. They’re great to work with and will undoubtedly love to help!

I’m an intermediate level graphics/webdesigner. I’m looking for a CMS like Ekklesia 360 http://www.ekklesia360.com/ that’s free or better if it’s an open source. I’ve tried Joomla, PHP-Nuke and the other ones available in Control Panel-Fantastico but I just don’t like the "feel" on those ones.

Could someone provide me a link to a free/open source CMS and provide a little comment about it if you’ve already used it.

I think you can make use of Joomla. ekklesia360 got both ecommerce and social networking features which you will hardly found in any simple cms. Thers many church websites being designed using joomla.
