For overseas travelers, jet lag is a big deal, whether you’re a businessman who needs to be sharp for his presentation the next day or a traveler who does not want to lose time being sleepy and not enjoying the well deserved vacation. If you’re planning a big trip and are worried about the possibility of jet lag you may want to talk to your doctor about melatonin. It is a hormone synthesized normally in one’s body that helps the body adjust to a certain circadian rhythm, or sleep-wake cycle. Although it doesn’t help everyone, melatonin may be the difference for you between being energized versus tired all the time on your next big trip.

Jet Lag And Driving

February 13, 2010 - 6:39 am No Comments

I was flying from the US to Ireland on an overnight flight. When I got to Ireland, I had to drive us to our hotel and I was very worried about driving a right-hand-drive mini van on the wrong side of the road after a long flight and jet lag. So, I tried to sleep on the plane as much as possible with ear plugs and had no caffeine. Once I arrived, I got a cup of coffee first thing, and then got the van. Before even leaving the airport, I found a parking lot and practiced for 20 minutes. It was very helpful. The sleep on the plane and the coffee helped me feel refreshed and alert.

Securing an additional policy for this could protect a no claims bonus built up. This could therefore be an attractive option for more experienced drivers. Another reason temp insurance is beneficial is when needing to provide protection for a driver sharing the driving on a longer journey.
