Does anybody know what program I can use to copy the words on the image document?
I have an image document thats very important. And it contains important numbers and words that I need to re-type in the same print of the letters and numbers but type something differnent. Its sorta hard to explain. But I need some type of program in my computer that can do that because I dont have any programs that can.So does anyone know a program I can download that can?I need that help immediately!!!!!SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!!
Since I’ve had scanners for a very long, I already have OCR (optical character recognition) software installed. Thus, I’ve never bothered to look around for additional software. That said, there is an Open Source (free) project called GOCR ("G" for "Gnu" I suppose) which provides OCR capability. The download for the software with a Windows interface is at:

You need an OCR program – there are no decent cheap ones.

If you buy a $50-60 scanner it will come with OCR software (I have a MicroTek) that will produce RTF files that have the font formatting and 99.9% accurate files if the text is halfway decent that can be loaded into Word or other word processors. Some will take files, but you can always print it and scan that.
You can do a search on ‘OCR online’ and examine the choices, including paying by the page for conversion from you files.
