how do i change a picture from microsoft office document imaging into a regular picture?

i have a picture on MICROSOFT OFFICER DOCUMENT IMAGING, and i want to post it up on my hotmail messenger(MSN)..
do i need to change the format or what? it was sent by a freind so thats y i dont kno how to fix it into a picture like a the ones on ur "My Pictures" folder…. give a really detailed answer pls

I’m not personally familiar with what form MS uses for this,but my first suggestion would be to download IrfanView (free, http://www.irfanview.com/) and use it to open the image. Then you can use Save As to save it as a jpg or any other format.
