Why is it that the most vocal supporters of full body imaging at airports, never fly commercial themselves?
I’m seeing a lot of vocal supporters of the full body imaging saying that we (cattle) should be subjected to this procedure at the airport yet these people by and large, fly on private jets and are never subject to searches, metal detectors, or full body scanning machines themselves.
Should the TSA rules be changed so that EVERYONE getting on a plane at ANY airport around the country, will be subject to the same search?
If we can’t racially profile people and everyone must be treated the same, then why are the wealthy who can afford their own private jets getting preferential treatment?
This is unacceptable. Shortly after 911 I was frisked, in a very invasive way by a man in front of everyone in line. He actually squeezed my breasts and said that "it was procedure" for women that set off the metal detector.
I am not going to be fondled by the very people who let the 911 terrroists traipse through security with box cutters, shoe bombs and underwear explosives while they molest young women and harass grandmothers in wheel chairs.
This protects nobody and inconveniences everyone. Americans are paying the price for the terrorists, WE are the ones giving up our basic rights.

Because they are wealthy and can do whatever they want.

The call for the FB Imaging is really just an economic payback by Lieberman to the company who produces them.
Its pretty clear that he is a shill for anyone who buys him with donations from insurance companies to security companies. He is a disgrace to us democrats and to the Senate of our country. He should be impeached, as it is clear that he is spending his last term garnering favors for his retirement.

Congress has its own airline, complete with airports that lose billions of dollars.

I am in support of it, and I take intercontinental flights several times a year, as well as domestic. Until someone comes up with a better idea how to detect bombs on the body, yes, everybody must submit to it for their own safety and the safety of their fellow passengers.

My husband and I fly a lot… We have no problems with the body scans. You have a choice. If you don’t want to be scanned… Don’t fly.

I support it 100%. Have not flown commercial in 15 years. Got my private pilot License and bought a Beechcraft Baron. If I have to go anywhere in North America I can just go to the local airport, fuel up and go. Plus with the small local airports all over, I can avoid the big congested places.

The only issue I could see with full body imaging/scanning is possible radiation issues. I think if they develop a safe method that is automated so that people overcome the embarrassment of personnel seeing through their clothing, it would generally be an acceptable form to eliminate a lot of security issues as well as possibly speed up the security process.

If they use their jets at a public airfield, they should be subject to the same security as anyone else.
If they use a private airfield, they don’t.

Because they are wealthy and love to force their opinions on the rest of the population, just like they are trying to do through Fox "news".
