Buying Skiing Socks

Skiing socks are the next most important piece of wearing apparel for the skier next to the boot. To properly fit the boot you should try them on in the store and do not buy them too big thinking that they will be better fitted when the socks are in them. This is not true

When buying socks to wear with your ski boots, do not buy cotton socks. Cotton will get wet and remain that way making your feet cold. Wearing two pairs of cotton socks also does not work. The proper socks to wear are socks made in one piece without ribbing at the foot and the leg. Skiing socks are made of a blend of wool and silk or a manmade fabric.
